Bjelolasica is the highest mountain in the Gorski kotar region and it is located in the mountain range of Velika Kapela (highest peak is called Kula, 1534 m). Mount Bjelolasica is also an excellent vantage point; if the weather is fine it is possible to see the mountain of Velebit and the bay of Kvarner with its islands (islands Krk, Cres, Losinj). There are also famous mountain peaks of Klek, Bijele and Samarske stijene, Javornica... Numerous marked mountain trails are ideal for lovers of unspoiled nature so walkers, cyclists, hikers and anglers are frequent visitors on Bjelolasica. We offer a number of outdoor activities, from easy walks over the marked pathways in the vicinity of the restaurant, trail games (forest ghost trail - treasure hunt, dragon’s trail) to hiking tours tailored to your wishes and needs to the nearby peaks with a professional licensed mountaineering guide. As part of the hiking tours we also offer geologic tours where you are introduced to the basics of rock origin and the magical shapes of the peaks of the Kapela mountain range. We are also able to organise mountaineering workshops which cover topics regarding how to behave in the mountains, such as equipment, walking dynamics, meteorology, basics of climbing, first aid etc.

You can also meet the local flora through thematic walks and workshops adjusted to your needs. For those of you who are brave and want some excitement, there is also the opportunity to try basic climbing techniques.

We can also introduce you to the world of mushrooms. Easy and relaxing walks through the forest are perfect weekend getaway. There are also opportunities to engage your creativity and artistic skills inspired by beautiful natural surroundings.

In the winter months there are opportunities for sledding, snowshoeing and ski touring.

In summer ... if you get desire to be at the beach by the sea ... do not worry; beach in the city of Novi Vinodolski is only 40 km away from Bjelolasica.

Paintball events are also possible to organize via local Paintball club Ogulin.
